I am a criminal defence lawyer at Strategic Criminal Defence, a full-service Calgary criminal defence law office, with central offices in Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge, Victoria, Saskatchewan, and Toronto.
My practice is based in Calgary.
I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, concentrating in crime and deviance, from the University of Calgary in 2008. Following my graduation, I worked as a youth worker with at-risk youth, assisted individuals with criminal records in applying for US entry waivers and pardons (now called record suspensions), and worked as an administrator for an employee health services provider, coordinating psychological and substance abuse assessments for clients.
I earned my law degree from the University of Sydney, Australia. While studying, I volunteered with the Public Defender’s Office, worked as a litigation paralegal with a leading Australian law firm, and was a member of the Sydney University Law Society executive.
When I returned to Canada, my law degree was recognized by the Federation of Law Societies of Canada. I completed my articles under the mentorship of the now Honourable Justice K.B. Molle and was called to the bar in 2018.
I represent clients with various criminal and drug charges in court and also provide support with research and the drafting of briefs on complex legal and Charter based issues.
