About Manvir Gill

As an articling student at Strategic Criminal Defence, I have the privilege of being part of the highly skilled team of lawyers at the Calgary Branch. This invaluable opportunity allows me to work closely with experienced professionals who are renowned for their expertise in the field of criminal defence. As an articling student, I am fully committed to practicing exclusively in criminal defence law. During my articling experience at the firm, I have had the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience and make meaningful contributions to the successful defence of individuals facing a wide range of cases, including criminal charges, traffic offences, and administrative penalties.

I obtained my Juris Doctor degree from Bond University in Australia, where I acquired a comprehensive legal education. Building upon this foundation, I pursued further qualifications by completing the Graduate Legal Diploma, which enabled me to fulfill the requirements to become a practicing lawyer in Australia.

I first began my professional journey as a criminal legal assistant, where I gained firsthand experience and insights into the complexities of criminal law. Working closely with experienced lawyers, I witnessed the profound impact that skilled legal representation can have on individuals’ lives. This experience further solidified my passion for criminal law and fueled my commitment to advocating for justice. Drawing from my time as a legal assistant, I developed a deep understanding of the legal system and honed my skills in legal research, case analysis, and client communication.

Thorough preparation, attention to detail, and staying updated on legal developments are the cornerstones of my work. I prioritize open communication with clients, providing guidance and reassurance while actively listening to their concerns. Ultimately, my goal as an articling student is to make a positive impact on the lives of our clients. By combining my passion for advocacy with a comprehensive understanding of criminal defence law, I am dedicated to providing the highest level of representation
